Cleveland-Shooters Pool League, the city's only LGBT pool league and possibly Ohio's largest-is in its fourth year and going strong. The league picked up three new teams this season. The Edge, Hamilton's and Apex join returning teams from the Grid, Cocktails, the Leather Stallion, Union Station, the Tool Shed, and Club Argos (the former Longevity). Ten teams of seven players each make the
league 70 strong, including all levels of pool ability.
Matches are played every Monday from October through March with playoffs in April. Players have found it to be a fun but still competitive way to spend Monday evenings in the fall, winter, and spring.
Five weeks into this season, last year's champions Grid-Basement (as opposed to the Grid-Orbit team) are again strong, tied for first place with one of the newcomers, the Edge. Apex, Grid-Orbit and Tool Shed

Why vote Bill Peirce for Ohio Governor?
• Libertarian = Socially liberal/progressive
Bill Peirce is opposed to "conservative" attempts to use the government to regulate people's morality, by imposing laws that restrict their behavior on the Sabbath, or at the pharmacy, or in the bedroom. He's opposed to these kinds of legal restrictions not because he thinks that all lifestyle choices are equally worth pursuing, but because he believes that people are responsible for their actions, and should be allowed to decide how to live their lives as they see fit, so long as they aren't hurting anyone else in the process.
• Libertarian Fiscally conservative/frugal
Likewise, Bill Peirce is opposed to "liberal" attempts to use the government to regulate people's buying practices, by imposing tariffs on certain goods & industries. He opposes this kind of regulation not because he thinks that all goods & industries are equally wonderful, but because he believes that people are responsible for themselves, and should be allowed to buy what they like, based on their own beliefs and values.
